Weighed in this morning at 280.2 lbs which is exactly a 10 lb weight loss since October 8th (15 days). I will do a no shirt photo tomorrow assuming that I don’t gain. I’ve also decided that I will take a photo for every pound that is lost from now on. That means that when I reach my goal I should have around 90 photos in my image gallery. I will try and upload a new video this weekend.
The FitDay software has been an excellent way of tracking my daily calories and I am averaging around 2000 calories per day as my goal had planned. I wouldn’t say that I have been eating the best and I still need major improvement in meal planning but I want to make small baby steps towards that goal and not to risk a dramatic eating transformation. Counting calories is hard enough yet alone throw in whole new food groups – lol.
Exercise has been basically non-existent but I have been walking at least 5000 steps. I would like to see that increased to 6000-7000 steps this week and eventually up to 10,000 on a daily basis. Searching the internet for a low cost gym in my area has been unfruitful. Most gym’s have been in the $60 – $75 per month range. I thought with the economy and every thing that I could find something in the $30 range but not yet.
One more thing: Another reason for the photos, updates everday etc. I want to show my progress and let everyone know that you don’t need some new gimmic or fad diet. Counting calories works and I really don’t consider it a diet at all. I am able to eat anything I want, I just need to limit anything I want.
Barry, congratulations on the first ten!
I am excited about the loss. I was thinking this morning that I have loss the past 12 pounds without hardly sacrificing anything to get it. It almost seems that I am cheating somehow. Yet, I am upset in a way to think that if I lost 10 pounds that easy why has it taken me so long to do it? I also don’t want to get in a sense that the remaining weight will come off as easy but one can only hope. Thanks again for being there.
I second what Steve says as well. Great job and what a great start to your weight loss journey. You also have a great attitude going into this as well, from the comment you posted. We do need to realize that this will be a tough road and we can’t let ourselves get over confident on the loss. I know I allowed that to happen at one point and then before you know it, I gained even more weight because I kind of though I was invincible and could afford to cheat here and there. Keep up the great work and all that you are doing to make this a success.
Congrats and greetings to achieve another 10 target.
