I took a Whale Watching tour out of Boston in October. It was probably one of the last for the year as the whales migrate south and return in the spring-summer. The tour is about 3 hours and I think it was under $50 if memory is correct. My take away – 1)You only get limited chances in life to do it so go. 2) It’s safe – these are big boats 3) Three hours goes fast 4) You most likely won’t see a whale breach the water with it’s tail but it’s still fun 5) Take a jacket because it is colder on a moving boat then on the shore.
