Self Fulfilling Prophecies

If feeling bloated was not enough last night, I finished the dirty deed by going out with co-workers for lunch to a Chinese buffet. I am ok now but just feeling a little bit down for having slipped. Actually, it wasn’t a slip. I willfully went and purposely ate with a Devil may care attitude anything and everything I wanted.

It was 30 minutes of bliss and hell all rolled into one. The bliss was the ability to eat anything I wanted. The hell was knowing that this was taking me further from my goal and not towards it. I’ll watch it tonight and be on track.

I Feel A Weight Gain Coming On

Today, I ate pretty well although I have to tell you that I have fallen in love with the Mock Danish recipe that I started making. It is sooo good. I made two this morning. One for breakfast and then one in the afternoon. My daughter came home around 4pm and I wanted to show her how easy it was to make.

I made my third one and my daughter saw the egg and that’s all she could think about was the egg. She took a bite and said it tasted like egg (She’s crazy). Anyway, I ended up eating hers too. That’s 6 ounces of cream cheese and 3 tablespoons of splenda. I just fell bloated this evening so we shall see in the morning.

Cruise For A Weight Loss Goal

Almost every diet weight loss book I’ve ever read has told me to reward myself for reaching both small and large goals. I’ve decided that for my big goal which is to be at least 199 lbs will be rewarded with a Cruise. You know most people who take a cruise gain 5 to 10 lbs. I don’t think these are low carb people. I’ve been on cruises before and eating omelets for breakfast, steak for dinner just seems like a low carbers paradise.

There is a low carb cruise leaving Galveston Texas on January 19th 2009 and it looks to be a good time. You can find more information about it over at the LivinLowCarbDiscussion.com bulletin board. I am just 66 lbs away from my reward. I’ve got 66 pounds to lose in 33 Weeks. If I lose just 2 lbs per week I will meet my goal.

Update: I found out that this is a double occupancy so I need a room mate. If interested just email me and let’s talk.
