I have seen the Riddex commercials before but didn’t really pay attention until the other day. I was almost persuaded to purchase one online but I rarely do that. Saturday I was shopping at CVS and found one for sale in one of the isles for $14.95 which was better than the online deal of 2 for $29.95 plus $8.95 for shipping.
Installation was a breeze. I just took it out of the carton and plugged it into an electrical outlet. If you are looking for excitement then this is not for you – It just blinks. However it does come with a neat little built in night light which could be handy. I placed in near the kitchen counter top. Now the big question is does it work?
I don’t have roaches and I haven’t seen any mice but I do have spiders and water bugs. I haven’t seen any around here for a few days but then again I don’t make it a habit of looking. If Riddex Plus actually does work then I think it is work the $14.95. If you have one, does Riddex work for you?
Update: After several months of use I have determined that this thing is an expensive night light at best. Save your money.

I tried one of these items, also bought at cvs. within 30 days i was ready to admit myself to a mental institution. i would sit outside and cry because i didnt want to go in my house. I thought it was because of the 8 inch scorpion i found in my bathroom and was badly unnerved by this. which is very unusual for me because i catch scorpions, poisioness spiders, tarantulas, sidewinder rattlesnakes all the time.
I called doctors, institutions and everyone i could think of. I already have mental illness, and i have been shocked with electricity very badly, i was scared for my mind.
My mom prayed for me, and then i just knew it was that riddex box. I unplugged it and within 24 hours i was back to normal, for me at least. i have been trying ever since to get ahold of the company with no luck.
If only i had checked the internet first.
there are many places that say it doesnt seem to work on anything but ants.
but i have only since one post about it bothering a person. i am still trying to find out more. be careful of all those products that have no customer support.
Donna, after checking this thing out for several months I agree with you that this thing does not work. It is an expensive night light at best.
