Yosemite National Park: First protected in 1864, Yosemite National Park is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more.
Last year I visited Yosemite National Park with my girlfriend and we drove down to the valley floor. That is where you will find camping, park office and shuttle buses that will take you to different areas of the park. I cannot tell you how beautiful this place is and pictures do not do it justice. Glacier ridge is one of the best spots to view half dome and many of the water falls from up above but if you have a fear of heights let this be a warning that there are places with no guard rails and drop offs just feet away from your car. I white knuckled it all the way to Washburn point. One day I will go back and may it all the way to Glacier Ridge. This is a must view once in your life time.
