I Am A New Grandpa

I know I haven’t posted in a week but I have been extremely busy and became a Grandfather for the first time on Thursday. The diet - what diet? I will get back on track this weekend.

Walking 10,000 Steps Per Day

YouTube Preview ImageI’ve been pretty faithful this week trying to get my 10,000 FDA approved walking steps in each day. Some days I have went over by several hundred and the day before yesterday I only got in around 9700 steps but all in all I feel pretty good. I have been eating fairly good but I thought I was in for a shock because I ate two helpings of Marzetti yesterday but I still managed to lose this morning.

I’ve been walking around the neighborhood with my dog who loves it. Each trip is around 2500 steps so its not to hard to calculated how many trips I need to do each day to get to my 10,000 steps. Right now as I am writing I am almost at 5000 steps at 4 pm. Looks like I will have to make 2 trips to get to my goal tonight.

Weight Loss Goal Reward

I have always read that you need to reward yourself for reaching goals especially in Weight Loss. My reward will be to take a Caribbean Cruise. I’ve been on a couple before and would love to go again. I would like my next vacation cruise to be to Jamaica. I’ve been to the Bahamas and Cozumel Mexico but I’ve been looking forward to a Jamaican Cruise vacation.

If you’ve never taken a cruise before I want to tell you to GO. It’s fun and cheap and offers a lot of the amenities of Las Vegas. Gambling, Shows and the sights are memories for a life time. I need to set the weight at which I will reward myself. 199? maybe but I am thinking 225 lbs. I’ll think on this some more and report back later.
