Today I am going to finish decluttering the down stairs. I have the living room cleaned up with the exception of all the clothes I have on the couch that need sorted. I read and interesting article about how we wear 20% of our clothes 80% of the time. Which means that most of us have way too many clothes. I will be getting rid of a lot of my older clothes today.
The kitchen and dining rooms are my big focus and I think I just need to do the old remove and replace. Which basically means get everything out and then put back only what I need or will use. I also moved my computer down to the living room and am using a remote keyboard and my monitor is now my 50″ plasma tv. Which allows me to type to you in my recliner. Just livin the dream.
I decided that if I am going to pursue cake decorating and take a class soon that it would be a great and fun goal to enter the Ohio State Fair “Icing the competition” contest.
There are several classes from beginner to advanced. Right now I would be a beginner having never really decorated a cake other than with icing from a store bought container. Since the fair just ended, I don’t know where I will be in my cake decorating skills by next August so I won’t put much thought into a category now.
There are also categories for Ginger Bread House and Cup Cakes that would also be worth a look. Which ever course I decide to do, I think it will be fun to enter and give an extra meaning to attend next years fair.
I am going to recommit to my effort to become debt free. Since last Fall I started out with $11,700 in debt not counting the home mortgage. I received a nice income tax and paid off about half of my debt. I still have almost have of my debt to pay off.
I will strive to pay off the remaining $5,481 this year and into next tax refund but I had plans with next years income tax so I really do not want to count on it to pay off this debt. This all ties into my goal to become debt free by selling off junk and paying off debt.
