I created a fund that I call goal list money. I want to start raising funds for each new goal that I want to accomplish. Right now I have a goal to raise $1,500 for several things. One is a campground lot which I figure will cost around $1,500 and the other is a 70′s model pickup truck which I estimate will cost about the same.
I want the campground pretty bad but I also need / want the truck. One because I would like to have a second vehicle just in case my car breaks down and two so that I can pull my boat and camper if I purchase one next summer. I’ve also got to get started on my VISA’s for our cruise in December.
One of the things that I loved back 20 years ago was going to a campground that my family rented all year long. On holidays and throughout the year they would have bingo, bands, etc.. I use to love to go there just to get away from everything.
My dad just purchased a campground at Hidden Lakes near Mt. Gilead Ohio. It has sparked my interest in purchasing one too. Although I have also been looking at Lost Hollow campground near Old Man’s Cave around Logan, Ohio. I am leaning towards Lost Hollow but would like to visit both and see. I like the fact that Lost Hollow is closer and is near a lot of attractions that I like to visit.
I most likely won’t purchase a camper this or next year but I would like to get the lot purchased. We could still use the pool and other facilities? Anyway, that is on my agenda as the 2 things I want to purchase in the next year. An old truck and a campground site.
This is Old Man’s Caves which is just down the road from Lost Hollow.
Let me first say a couple of things. 1> Yes there are several Cake shows on television. 2> I’ve always equated cake decorating with women. 3> Both of these have nothing or little to do with my goal of cake decorating.
My goal to learn how to decorate cakes comes from around the age of 18 when I worked at Kroger. I got a job in the Deli and meet the local stores cake decorator. After watching her for weeks, I learned that she made more money at home than she did at Kroger’s. I also loved the cakes that she was making. Thus started my desire to learn how to decorate like she did.
Throw in the cake shows etc. and I see that it is not just a woman’s job but a lot of men do cakes. So I say what the heck and I am going to sign up for a basic course at Michael’s and see how it goes.
