I have been looking at old trucks on Craigslist for several weeks. Yesterday while I was leaving Lowes, I pulled up next to an older truck. I didn’t know what year it was so I yelled at the woman in the passenger seat and asked what year. “1970″ she replied.
Looking at the beauty of that old truck affirmed my desire to purchase one. I like the look of the truck that Clint Eastwood drove in Grand Torino which is a 1972 Ford Pickup.
Prices have been all over the place with a low of $800 to as high as you want. Seems that $1500-$2000 is the price range which is very doable for me.
Last week we had a fantastic time at the KISS Concert in Cincinnati. I would say that it was one of the best concerts that I have been to in a long time. The weather was great. The people were great and it was a great time had by all. I would definitely do that again if I had the chance.
This is KISS at Riverbend in Cincinnati 2010.
When you are just starting out in life there are things that seem / are important to you. I think most people want a nice home, car, and family. You want your kids to go to college, move out on their own and start their own families. The circle of life blah, blah, blah.
As I look to one more child leaving home soon and being single my whole outlook on life has changed. I don’t care about the home, car, and don’t want any more kids. What I realize is that I don’t need all of the stuff I have collected over 28 years of my adult life. I hope to never purchase a new car again. I could move into a condo or apartment and be just as happy with not having to fix the roof or mow the lawn.
What is important to me now? That is the big question. What do I want to do now and how will this affect me 20 years from now? One thing is to be in the best shape that I can. The other is to de-clutter the stuff in my life that is in my way.
Tomorrow I will start again to go through all of my rooms and take out all the things that I have no use for and cause stress in my life.
