Planted My Low Carb Garden
Sunday, May 18th, 2008Today I tilled my garden again and then I went down to my local garden center and planted my vegetables. I planted six tomato plants, six bell pepper plants (For my western omelets) and two mounds of cucumbers. I also purchased some strawberry plants and put them in a hanging basket. If I get a chance I will take some photos and post soon.
I didn’t go to the gym today but I think I got a work out in the garden. I was near my grill and fried up the rest of the chicken legs I had left over from yesterday. I finished the evening off with a small salad with ranch dressing (1g carbs per serving). My problem right now is serving size. Although the dressing is only 1g per serving - I don’t know what a serving is nor do I seem to care. I spread to taste - so I really probably added 11-12 grams of carbs just in that salad.
This is my grill - ain’t it nice? If your gonna grill out then do it in style.
This year, me and my son are thinking about what to grown in the garden. I have thought about it for several years but this year we are going to grow a giant pumpkin. I wanted to grow one for the Circleville Pumpkin show but found out that I live 28 miles and the rules only allow for 21 miles.
